Private Pilates near Citrus Square
Citrus Square was laid out in the 1920s between Highland and La Brea, and its Spanish Colonial and Tudor Revival houses are the reason it was put forward for the National Register of Historic Places. Our studio sits a couple of blocks north of it, on Highland just past Melrose.
Every session here is one-on-one, and we have never run a group class. Your teacher stays with you the whole 55 minutes and adjusts the work to what your body is doing that morning or afternoon.
A method from the same decade
Joseph Pilates was teaching his method in New York in the 1920s, the same decade Citrus Square was laid out. We teach his method the classical way, in the order he set and with the precision he expected, on Balanced Body's Contrology apparatus.
You can meet Yonatan and Jaime, who teach here, on our about page.
Who comes to us from the neighborhood
Some have never been on a Reformer. Some have practiced for twenty years and want a teacher who will notice the small things. We see a lot of people coming back from an injury or a stiff back. Parents come to us before and after a baby too, with their doctor's okay.
Pricing, plainly
Your first session is $65. After that, a single 55-minute private session is $150, and packages of 6, 12, 24 or 48 sessions bring the per-session rate down. Most clients choose the 12 or the 24. The details are on our services page.
How to start
From most of Citrus Square you can walk over for your first session. Book the $65 intro session online, and if you would like to talk it through first, a free 15-minute call works too. You can stop at any point, and you will never be asked to do something you have not been shown.
